Parkview Elementary was rebuilt in 2022, replacing the 1950’s, 1970’s portions of the school. PLA joined the project towards the end of the design phases, working through site and design challenges, and construction administration. The school is adjacent to Cornwall Park and a public trail, and within a single-family residential neighborhood. The design features drought tolerant native and adapted plantings, efficient automatic irrigation, two play areas, a playfield, two parking areas, an edible garden learning area, and a stormwater pond. The project team included Zervas Architects and Freeland Engineering.
