Smith Gardens, a large nursery production facility, required a display garden to double as an employee break area, company gathering space, and event space. We provided three design alternatives and associated cost estimates for selection by the Smith Gardens design committee. The selected design includes a hanging basket arbor, shelter pergola designed for a future roof covering, paved seating areas, power hook-ups, and a raingarden to manage stormwater runoff from the paving and future roof on site. The plantings combined structural plants with plenty of room for annuals and perennials for the nursery trade trials.
